Am a local who took 2 guests here from Trinidad. Their first time, my 2nd from 2018 NYE party knowing nothing much about it in advance! 100% best non-typical touristy thing to do that is a must do in Washington. Enjoy a 5 min overview video at start. Definitely need 1.5 hours minimum and that means you are mobile and rushing through most rooms and mahbe doubling back here and there as you explore and make sure you didn't miss anything, including secret doors! Staff was extremely polite, welcoming, and kept things smooth and friendly in each interaction! Be sure to SIT down in each room to get different perspectives and see things you totally missed...maybe even then spot a secret door! Also check windwos o see other spots and where you are! Overall, Mansion on O St. Is a MUST-SEE spot and yoy support a great non-profit and the arts!

We enjoyed being able to wander at leisure and explore. Only occasionally spoilt when someone else came through a hidden door!

I loved our espionage hunt and cannot believe I have lived in the DC area for three decades and have never been to the Mansion on O Street. I will definitely be bringing my future visitors here! The Mansion is truly one of a kind.

My parents were in town to visit, and I did not know what to think about the Mansion ahead of time. We had a wonderful time exploring this truly unique house/museum. Finding 6 secret doors is not bad, right? I would highly recommend this activity for anyone - tourist or local - as a great excursion in DC that keeps you thinking rather than just looking.
